NeuroDrive
(2024)
audiovisual performance for musicians, electronics, video and light design
collaborative creation by Arda Yurdusev, Lautaro Tesar and José del Avellanal
Program notes
NeuroDrive is a 40-minute audiovisual performance, developed collaboratively by Arda Yurdusev (concept, video design), Lautaro Tesar (sound design, live electronics) and José del Avellanal (light design), premiered at the Grosse Halle of the Kulturzentrum Reitschule in Bern (CH) as part of Kulturesk Festival 2024.
The work was born out of the intention to conceptualize the performance space of Grosse Halle through an ensemble of musicians with live electronics within a quadraphonic sound setup, together with live visuals mapped on the walls and light design. Inspired by the vibrant graffiti art that covers the performance space (both outside and inside), the project seeks to celebrate this iconic feature of the venue through the combination of sound, image and light, offering an immersive audiovisual experience for the audience.
