Program notes

This short electronic piece was developed during the lockdown months of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this uncertain period, I struggled to find the will to write music for the concert hall as I was doing until then and, instead, I focused my efforts in the creation of pieces that, despite the restrictions and distance, could be experienced by the listeners from their own homes. All the sonic material for the piece was derived from recordings of the Irish bassoonist Olivia Palmer-Baker, whose explorations of her instrument inspired me to create this little "sonic landscape".
